aunt danelle’s no bake peanut butter protein balls

We affectionately refer to my husband’s jiu jitsu teacher as “Uncle Scott”. This recipe is his wife Danelle’s.

Ingredients:


2 heaping cups of Creamy Peanut Butter

1/3 cup mini chocolate chips

1/2 cup old fashioned oats

1 heaping scoop protein powder

(Vanilla Muscle Milk powder was in the original recipe, we use Optimum Nutrition Extreme Milk Chocolate Whey Protein Powder)

3 Tbsp Flax Seeds

⅔ cup All Bran Cereal Bran Nuggets

Just over ¼ cup honey

  1. Mix all ingredients in a medium to large size mixing bowl with a spoon.

  2. Place in freezer for 20 minutes.

  3. Line 2 baking sheets with wax paper or parchment paper.

  4. Use cookie scoop to scoop mixture onto baking sheets. *I use a small cookie scoop which yields 35-40 protein balls.

  5. Put in freezer for 30 minutes.

  6. Put all of the protein balls on one baking sheet and place them all, still on the parchment or wax paper, into tupperware container to store in fridge.
